Kwai is one of the fastest-growing short-video platforms worldwide, especially popular among creators who want to reach a broader audience without depending solely on the algorithm. But there's a classic problem: you have a physical presence — a business card, packaging, a storefront, a flyer — and no clear way to turn it into Kwai followers.

QR Codes solve that. In this guide you'll learn two approaches: (1) Kwai's built-in profile QR code, which already exists inside the app; and (2) creating your own custom QR with Code2Scan for offline use, with full tracking.

Kwai's native profile QR code

Kwai has a built-in feature called the profile code — a QR Code that, when scanned by another user inside the Kwai app, opens your profile directly and prompts a follow.

How to find and share your native code

  1. Open Kwai and go to your profile.
  2. Tap the three dots (menu) in the top-right corner.
  3. Look for "My code" or "Invite code".
  4. Save the image or share it directly from the app.

This code is perfect for sharing inside the app — via DMs, on posts, or for people who already have Kwai installed. Limitation: it only works if the person scanning also has the Kwai app open. Outside the app, the native QR may not redirect correctly.

Why create your own QR with Code2Scan?

When you place a QR on physical materials — a poster, packaging, a business card, a storefront window, an event badge — Kwai's native code has real limitations:

  • Doesn't work with the phone's native camera (requires Kwai app to be open).
  • No way to track how many people scanned it.
  • Can't change the destination without reprinting.

With Code2Scan, you create a universal QR Code (works with any camera) pointing directly to your Kwai profile or video link. And if you use a dynamic QR, you track every scan — date, time, city, device.

Which QR to use for each goal?

Goal Recommended QR Type
Follower sees your QR inside the Kwai app Kwai native code Native
Street poster / shop window Code2Scan QR → profile link Dynamic
Product packaging Code2Scan QR → profile link Static or Dynamic
Creator business card Code2Scan QR → link-in-bio Dynamic
Event print / badge Code2Scan QR → specific video Dynamic
Campaign with ROI tracking Code2Scan QR → link with UTM Dynamic

Step by step: creating your QR Code for Kwai

1. Copy your Kwai profile or video link

  • Profile: on your profile, tap "Share" and copy the link.
  • Specific video: open the video, tap "Share" > "Copy link".

The link usually looks like https://www.kwai.com/@yourusername or similar.

2. Create the QR on Code2Scan

  1. Go to /en/qr-code-social-media (social media QR) or the general generator.
  2. Paste your Kwai profile link.
  3. Customize: brand color, logo in the center, rounded corners.
  4. Choose dynamic if you want tracking (recommended for print).
  5. Download as PNG (digital posts) or SVG/PDF (professional printing).

3. Use the QR on your materials

Place the QR on every physical material where you have a presence. Always add a short call to action next to it: "Follow me on Kwai" or "Watch the full video".

4. Monitor scans (dynamic QR)

In the Code2Scan dashboard you'll see: how many people scanned, from which city, at what time, and on which device. This tells you which physical materials are actually generating Kwai followers.

Where to place your Kwai QR Code

  • Storefront and counter: turn physical customers into digital followers.
  • Product packaging: buyers can follow you and watch your videos.
  • Creator business cards: take your Kwai to in-person networking.
  • Event posters, fairs, shows: capture followers from people who walked by.
  • Partnership material / print media: brand campaigns from physical to digital.

Creators who sell products or offer services can pair their Kwai QR with a link-in-bio page — so one scan leads to a page with your Kwai profile, WhatsApp, online store, and more. Learn more in the complete link-in-bio guide.

Combining Kwai with other social networks

If you're also on TikTok or Instagram, you can create a single QR pointing to a link-in-bio that includes all your profiles. Read how in QR Code on TikTok and QR Code on Instagram Stories. For multi-platform creators, also check out QR Code for influencers and content creators.

Common mistakes

❌ Using Kwai's native QR on printed materials

The native profile code only works inside the app. On a poster or packaging, the phone camera may not recognize it. Always use a universal QR Code (Code2Scan).

❌ Broken or private profile link

Before printing, test the link: open it in your phone's incognito mode. A private profile won't load for people who haven't followed you yet.

❌ QR Code too small

For printed materials, the minimum size is 2.5 cm × 2.5 cm. Below that, many phones can't read it. Check the minimum QR Code size guide.

❌ No visible call to action

A QR Code without context has a low scan rate. Always add a phrase next to it: "Scan and follow me on Kwai!", "Watch the full video here!" etc.

❌ Not tracking results

A static QR generates no data. If you want to know whether your poster worked, use a dynamic QR from the start — you can't switch later without reprinting.

Summary

  1. Kwai's native code is for sharing inside the app between users.
  2. For physical materials (posters, packaging, cards), create a universal QR with Code2Scan.
  3. Use your Kwai profile or video link as the QR destination.
  4. Use a dynamic QR to change the destination without reprinting and track every scan.
  5. Pair it with a link-in-bio to combine all your channels into one single QR.
  6. Always add a visible call to action next to the QR.
